Mortal Kombat- Kano

Kano is a ruthless mercenary, a born survivor, a shameless opportunistist, a deviously intelligent commander, and a completely morally bankrupt son of a bitch.

As the infamous leader of the Black Dragon crime syndicate, he's also on the top of the U.S. Special Forces' Most Wanted list. After suffering a severe injury to the right side of his face and losing his eye in a fight with Major Jackson Briggs of the U.S. Special Forces, Kano had it replaced with an infrared cybernetic implant capable of seeing in the dark and firing a high-powered laser.

Invited to the Mortal Kombat tournament for his world-class expertise as a hand-to-hand and knife fighter, Kano accepts after hearing that the host, Shang Tsung, possesses a palace filled with gold and riches, which he intends to steal, caring little for what's really at stake.

Kano was originally an American raised in Japan, but after the charismatic performance of the late Trevor Goddard in the film, he was retconned in the games to be Australian. I prefer to think of him as half-Australian, half-Asian since his name is Japanese and the Black Dragon cartel originates there.

Of the seven main characters of Mortal Kombat 1, he is considered the strongest physically.

Jax being responsible for the loss of Kano's eye was hinted at in the "Konquest" mode of MK Deadly Alliance.
